Obituary for Marie DePouw

Marie L. DePouw, 88, passed away Friday September 23, 2005 at Rennes Health Center-West, Peshtigo. Marie was born May 1, 1917 in the Town of Oconto to the late Andrew and Elodie (Werrebroeck) Detaeye. She married William DePouw on October 17, 1936 in Oconto at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Marie worked with the hot lunch program at St. Peters for 11 years. She enjoyed playing the organ and crocheting. Marie was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the St. Annes Society. Marie is survived by one son Donald (Annette) DePouw, Green Bay; two grandchildren Sarah (Mark) Nerenhausen, Oconto; Kristin (Bryant) Hodkiewicz, Stiles; and five great grandchildren Alyson and Lauryn Nerenhausen, and Rease, Brynn, and Cole Hodkiewicz. She is preceded in death by two brothers Henry and Arthur Detaege. The family will receive relatives and friends at Holy Trinity Parish, Oconto, from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM Tuesday September 27, 2005 with St. Annes Rosarys at 9 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM Tuesday at the church with the Rev. David C. Ruby officiating. Burial will be at Oconto Catholic Cemetery. The Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, is assisting the family. On line condolences may be expressed at In lieu of flowers a memorial to ?The Association of the Miraculous Medal? has been established.
