Obituary for Mary Reim

Mary (Carey) Reim, 83 resident of Town of Pensaukee passed away August 29, 2005 at Community Memorial Hospital, Oconto Falls. Mary was born July 26, 1922 in Wabeno to the late Dennis and Nora (Lawler) Johnson. She lived in Oconto area all her life. Mary graduated from Oconto High School in 1939. She married John (Jack) Carey February 18, 1941 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oconto. Her preceded her in death on April 15, 1976. Mary married Merlin Reim July 16, 1983 at St. Louis Catholic Church, Abrams. He preceded her in death April 4, 2005. Mary worked at the Parker House, Oconto as a waitress, she also worked at Jung Shoe, Common of Ages. She was the organizer of Pine Acres Ladies Golf League to which she still belongs. She was an avid golfer and bowler in many leagues, and had served as secretary, treasurer and president of the leagues. She was still an active bowler. Mary?s was widely known for her seamstress abilities. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Abrams since 1943. Mary served the church with many hours of her talents, which she took pride in. She was past Trustee, Financial Council Administration, Grounds and Maintenance, and counted money for many years. She was also a member of the Alter Society since 1952, being president, secretary, treasurer and was involved in many fund raisers. She loved being involved with her church, her people and the Arch Diocese. She also belonged to card clubs since 1948. She love cards and also playing cribbage and her large home garden. Survivors include son and daughter in-law Jerry and Mary Carey; daughter and son in-law Lois Beverly and Dan Fiedler; daughter Margaret (Muggsy) Splitgerber; grandchildren Robert (Jane) Carey; Jennifer (Nickolos) O?Shaskey; Richard (Kristin) Carey, Craig Feidler and Denice Splitgerber. Great Grandchildren Cody Feidler, Ashley, Kavian, Dan, Casey Allexia Splitgerber, Maxwell and Madalin O?Shaskey. Brother Maynard (Marge) Johnson; sisters Patricia (Antone ?Tony?) LeComte, Ethel (Babe) Tounsend, brother in-law Norb Ganter, sisters in-law Muriel Johnson, Grace Lutz and Rita Carey; also many more nieces, nephews. She is further survived by stepdaughter Patricia (John) Senn, Mary Ellen Wranosky, Linda (Jerry) Yatso and Ruth Reim; stepsons Jim (Marge) Reim and Ruth Reim. Also 19 step grandchildren and special friends and very special friend Rev. Paul Vanden Hogan. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; First Husband Jack Carey, 2nd husband Merlin Reim; two grandchildren Brian and Laurie Splitgerber, a sister Sally, brother Pat; five brothers in law and 4 sisters in-law. Friends may call at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto from 4 to 8:00 P. M. Wednesday. Prayer service will be 7:00 P. M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 A. M. Thursday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Abrams with Rev. Paul Vanden Hogen officiating. Entombment will be at Nicolet Memorial Gardens, Green Bay. On line condolences may be express at
