Obituary for Ruth Predith

Ruth Frances Predith, 93, of Oconto, passed away Monday May 2, 2005 at Bay Shore Pines, CBRF, Oconto. Ruth was born December 1, 1911 in Stiles to the late William and Mary Lorretta (Perrott) Duame. Ruth married Harry Predith on February 26, 1938 in Green Bay. He preceded her in death on January 13, 2000. Ruth graduated frm Oconto Falls High School in 1929 and moved to Green Bay where she worked as a secretary at Hoberg?s (Proctor & Gamble). In 1942 Ruth and Harry purchased a home and moved to Oconto, and remained there until Harry?s death in January of 2000. Ruth worked for the Daily Reminder from 1960-1970. In 1970 Harry retired and the couple spent their winters in Texas until 1987. In 2002 Ruth moved to Madison and returned to Oconto in 2005 and resided at the Bay Shore Pines. Ruth enjoyed knitting, gardening, and spending time with family at the cabin in Forest County. Ruth was a member of Royal Neighbors. Ruth is survived by three sons Michael (Ruth) Predith, Pewaukee; James (Patty) Predith, Madison; and Brent Predith, Denver, CO; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry, three brothers and three sisters. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 5 to 9 PM Friday May 6, 2005 with prayer services at 7 PM by Sister Angela. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday at Holy Trinity Parish with the Rev. David C. Ruby officiating and burial at St. Patrick?s Cemetery, Stiles. Online condolences may be left at
