Obituary for Clem Jaeckels Jr.
Clem Jaeckels, Jr., 94, of Oconto, peacefully went to Heaven May 1, 2021. Clem was born July 24, 1926 in MN to the late Clem and Sophia (Penleski) Jaeckels, Sr. He served his country in the US Navy during World War II, and his commanding officer was former President Gerald Ford. He loved spending time in his garden and looking for deer. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper.
Clem leaves behind a son, David (Joan) Jaeckels, NC; a brother Robert (Carol) Jaeckels, New London; his good friend and neighbor, Jeanne Young, nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many friends and members of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 9 to 11 AM Wednesday, May 12, 2021. Memorial services will be conducted 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Francis Nusi officiating, followed by full military rites. There will be a memorial mass for Clem on his birthday, July 24, 2021 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Oconto, at 10 AM.
His son Dave wishes to thank the doctors and nurses of St. Vincent Hospital for their care of his father, Clem.
