William H. Hollihan, 69, 202 Madison St., Oconto passed away August 7, 2006 at Bond Health Center, Oconto. He was born October 30, 1936 in Milwaukee to the late Francis and Germaine (Hazen) Hollihan. He graduated from Oconto High School in 1955. Bill married Barbara Schumacher November 7, 1959. He worked at Scott Paper Co., Oconto Falls for 30 years retiring in 1994. Bill was also employed by the City of Oconto at the recycling center. He was a avid sports fan. He especially enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Cubs and Notre Dame. He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, Oconto. Survivors include his wife Barbara; a son Tim (Jennifer) Hollihan, Oconto; a daughter Nancy (Michael) Gilles, Oconto; granddaughter Alexis Gilles, grandson Derek Hollihan, step granddaughter Bailee McClintock all of Oconto; mother in-law Eleanor Schumacher, Oconto; sisters and brothers in-law Jim & Jean Schumacher, Green Bay; Tom Schumacher, Hilton Head, North Carolina; Jim & Lynn Follett, Green Bay; many nieces and nephews and his cat Pumpkin. Bill was preceded in death by 2 sisters in-law Kathy Topel and Sue Schumacher. Friends may call at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto from 4 to 8:30 P. M. Wednesday. Parish Wake Service will be 7:00 P. M. Wednesday. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 A. M. Thursday, August 10, 2006, at Holy Trinity Parish with Rev. David C. Ruby officiating. Burial will be at Oconto Catholic Cemetery. On line condolences may be expressed at www.gallagherfuneralhome.net.
