Obituary for William C. Semrau

William C. Semrau Sr., 94, Cream City Rd., Oconto passed April 12, 2005. He was born October 1, 1910 at Klondike to William and Josephine (Kiyo) Semrau. William married Evelyn Evrard November 10, 1930, she preceded him in death November 29, 1995. He farmed most of his life in the Town of Lena. He also operated Semrau Bar and Grocery at 4 corners and worked at Country Garden, Coleman. He loved hunting, fishing and traveling. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Lena. Survivors include four daughters Shirley (Paul) Krueger, Oconto; Pat (Edward) Groth, Howard; Shelby (William) Yudes, Oconto; Judie (Byron) Critchfield, San Antonio, Texas; two sons William Jr. (Sharon) Semrau, Oconto; Gary Semrau, Peshtigo; 18 Grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Evelyn; 2 granddaughters Debra Yudes and Jodi Remiker; a grandson Mitchell Groth; 1 great granddaughter Alysha Yudes; 3 brothers Ervin, Arthur and Leo; 2 sisters Ellen Ducharne and Pearl Washaleski. ?We love you dad, rest in peace? Friends may call at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Lena from 11:00 A. M. until 2:00 P. M. Friday. Funeral service will be 2:00 P. M. Friday, April 15, 2005, at the Church with Rev. Ryan Landwehr officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery. Gallagher Funeral Home and Cremations Services, Oconto is assisting the family.
