Obituary for William Alberts

William Alberts, 88, of DePere. Williams greatest desire, to move into his mansion in Heaven and be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, was realized on November 24, 2010.

William is survived by his daughter Judi (Russ) Lefevre, Green Bay; son Noel (Deborah) Alberts of Midway, Arkansas; and daughter-in-law Beverley Alberts, Maribel, WI. William is also survived by grandchildren; Bonnie (Jim) Ridderbush, Richard (Wendy) Alberts, Ronnie Alberts, Randy (Cynthia) Alberts, Keith Alberts, Tim (Laura) Alberts, Jamie (Ann) Alberts, Sherry LaCrosse, Linda LaCrosse, Reuben, Katie and Bobbie Sue Kaye, also several great grandchildren. Each of his nieces and nephews along with their families held a special place in is heart; Jan (Darryl) Gertzfield, Carol Crawford, Darlene Crawford, Pat (Bernie ) Hallett, Dawn (Stan) Sutherland, Merribeth (George) Dvorick, Alan Crawford, Marlene Hunt, Bill (Nancy) Hunt, Karol Hunt, Kathy (David) Winters and adopted niece Sandy Sigo.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella, in April , 2007; a son Delbert Alberts; his parents George and Josephine Alberts; and a brother Fred who died in infancy.

Prior to moving to Green Bay area he was a resident of Oconto County and enjoyed country living. There he served the Lord faithfully as a member of the Oconto Gospel Chapel. During his time in Oconto County, and when not working at his first love, farming, he was employed at Kreiwaldt Glove Factory and Patz Co. He also served as Pensaukee Town Chairman. As retirement progressed, William and his wife moved to Green Bay, where they were faithful members of Bay City Baptist Church, enjoying the Young at Heart activities, and listening to the preaching of the never-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ. Most recently he resided at Walnut Grove Assisted Living in DePere, WI.

Special thanks to the care givers that provided him with companionship, comfort and medical direction: Walnut Grove staff and Unity Hospice workers

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Bay City Baptist Church, 1840 Bond St., Green Bay from 9 to 11 AM Saturday, November 27, 2010. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday at the church with Pastor Paul Brown officiating. Burial will be 10:00 AM Monday, November 29, at Brookside Cemetery.
