Obituary for Wallace Burton Windross
Wallace Burton Windross, 87, of Oconto, passed away Monday, October 13, 2014 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Green Bay. Wallace was born February 12, 1927 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late William and Nellie (Dancer) Windross. He married Sara Peltz in February of 1957. She preceded him in death on April 8, 1978. Wallace served in the US Army from May of 1945 to June of 1947. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Wallace is survived by two daughters, Alice (Robert) Gazda, MO; Cindy (Robert) McKinley, AZ; a son, John Windross, Oconto; ten grandchildren, Tom Gazda, Paul Gazda, Michelle (Jason) Mohler, Jeremy Vittitow, Jason (Stephanie) Vittitow, Amy (Dan) Danielson, Christopher Rudolph, Joshua Rudolph, Kimberly French, Lee Windross; twelve great-grandchildren, Brandon Gazda, Blake and Clayton Mohler, Meghan Vittitow, Cassie Allgire, Savannah Vittitow, Tre Vittitow, Kylie, Karli, Khloe and Owen Danielson, and Zoie McKinley. He was preceded in death by three children, Laura Lynn Windross, Sheryl Ann Windross, David Lee Windross and one brother, Gene Windross.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 2 to 4 PM Friday, October 17, 2014, Funeral services will be conducted 4 PM Friday at the funeral home with President Jensen presiding. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery with Military Rites by Oconto American Legion Post #74. Online condolences may be expressed at www.gallagherfuneralhome.net.
