Obituary for Thomas A. Schumacher
Thomas A. “Shoey” Schumacher, 73, Green Bay, passed away on July 30, 2017 at Bellin Hospital, Green Bay. Tom was born September 22, 1943 in Oconto to the late Alois and Eleanor (Curran) Schumacher. He married Sue Livermore September 28, 1963. She preceded him in death on July 9, 2005. Tom graduated from Oconto High School in 1961. He worked as a millwright for Proctor & Gamble for 32 years. He was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Ashwaubenon, also president and vice-president of Local 65 United Paperworkers Union International.
Tom is survived by a daughter, Jane (Bill VanEss) Schumacher, Little Suamico; a son, Steven Schumacher, Howard; two sisters, Barbara Hollihan, Oconto; Lynn (James) Follett, Ashwaubenon; a brother, James (Trish) Schumacher, FL; two grandchildren, Hannah and Elizabeth Schumacher; sister-in-law, Sandra (Mitchell) McQueen; also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen Topel.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 2270 S. Oneida Street, Green Bay from 9 to 11 AM Friday, August 4, 2017. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Friday at the church with the Rev. Mike Ingold officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Oconto, at 1:30 PM. Online condolences may be expressed at gallagherfuneralhome.net.
