Obituary for Ruth Nicholas

Ruth Alice Nicholas, 85, of Abrams, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay. Ruth was born June 13, 1922 in Abrams to the late Alex and Stella (Kedzerski) Hellman. She married Lawrence Nicholas on January 14, 1941. He preceded her in death on March 2, 1978. Ruth was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church, Little Suamico. After her life with Lawrence Nicholas in Milwaukee, Ruth retired to the home in which she was born n Abrams. There she woke every morning with a heart full of gratitude and praise of her life, her family and friends, her home, land and all of God?s blessings. She found great joy in living. There wasn?t a full moon shining, a frog singing, a flower blooming that escaped Ruth?s awe, attention and appreciation. ?All things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small, all things wise and wonderful, the Lord God made them all.? Ruth is survived by two sons Norbert (Barbara) Nicholas, FL; Robert (Michele Perillo) Nicholas, DePere; a sister Irene Pagel, Green Bay; three grandchildren Michelle (Jeff), Dominique (Richard), Anthony, one great grandson Tanner, one great granddaughter Mia Grace; and her lifeguard, friend and love of 30 years, Milan Stiller. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 3 to 7 PM Sunday, October 28, 2007 with prayer services by Rev. Gary J. Dantinne at 6 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday, October 29 from 9:30 to 10:15 AM at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, October 29 at St. Pius Catholic Church, Little Suamico with the Rev. Gary J. Dantinne officiating. On line condolences may be expressed at
