Pearl Spice, 95, of Abrams, passed away peacefully Monday, August 29, 2016 at Wyndemere Estate, with family by her side. Pearl was born July 8, 1921 in Abrams to the late Herman and Lillie (Waldow) Falk. She married Donald Spice on September 9, 1946. He preceded her in death on January 18, 1984. Pearl lived her entire life in Abrams on the family farm, until she could no longer take care of herself. Pearl loved her farm, taking care of her animals and garden. She was very involved with her church, United Methodist Church, Abrams. She drove school bus for Abrams for twenty five years, and was the first woman that drove school bus for Oconto Falls School District. She had over the years made many close friends.
Pearl is survived by a daughter, Faith (Joe) Spice, Lily, WI; a son, Kenneth (Roger Schreiber) Spice, Green Bay; two grandchildren, Tamara (Dave) Smith; Joseph (fiancee, Kim Koltes) Spice; a great grandson, Sean Smith; brother-in-law, Clarence (Betty) Spice, Oconto; sister-in-law, Verine Wahl, Oconto Falls. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ada Falk and Ruby (Homer) Belongia.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 9 to 11 AM Saturday, September 3, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Henke officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.gallagherfuneralhome.net.
A very special thank you to the entire staff of Wyndemere, Memory Care for the excellent care and Unity Hospice for their care. A special thank you to Karen Heimke for always watching over our Mother, whenever she was needed.
