Obituary for Orpha Swaer

Orpha D. Swaer, age 98, passed away February 19, 2008 in Bonita Springs, Florida surrounded by her loving family. Orpha was born June 21, 1909 on a homestead near Mott, North Dakota. Daughter of Frank and Harriet (Lince) Bundy. She graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1928. and Oshkosh Teachers College (now UW Oshkosh) in 1930. Orpha taught school in Suring, Wis for 5 years. Orpha married Arthur Swaer at Waukegan, IL June 29, 1934. Orpha and Arthur worked together to make their fish and mink business successful. Orpha enjoyed her many friends very much and always offered them her support. Orpha was a member of St Paul Methodist Church and enjoyed activities of the Church. She also loved to play bridge. Orpha is survived by her loving son Dean (Judy) Swaer, Green Bay, grand daughters Stacey and her husband, Kelly Keisler, Susan Swaer, great granddaughters Kaitlyn and Emmalee Keisler, Sisters-in-law Clara, Fern and Margaret Swaer, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Arthur, daughter Jane, and brother Franklin Bundy. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 2 to 5 PM Saturday, February 23, 2008. Funeral will be conducted 5 PM Saturday at the funeral home by Pastor Barbara Ristow. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery. On line condolences may be expressed at Memorial gifts will be given to St Paul Methodist Church and Hope Hospice of Bonita Springs, FL.
