Obituary for Norbert Shallow
Norbert ?Doug? Shallow, 85 of Oconto, died Monday January 23, 2006 at King Veterans Home, Waupaca. Norbert was born April 30, 1920 in Oconto to the late Peter and Leona (Carriveau) Shallow. He married Carol Gauthier on September 7, 1953. She preceded him in death on October 28, 1997. Norbert served in the US Air Force during WWII. After returning home he owned and operated the family dairy farm. He also had a milk route for Frigo?s. Norbert was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Oconto. Norbert is survived by two sons Robert (Vonnie) Shallow, Oconto; James Shallow, Oconto; one step-daughter Mary (Gerald) Wojner, Oconto; two brothers Guy (Rose) Shallow, Oconto; Peter Shallow, Peshtigo; one sister Mary Pecha, Oconto; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is preceded in death by sixteen brothers and sisters and one grandson Lucas Shallow. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 4 to 9 PM Wednesday January 25, 2006 with prayer services at 7 PM by Deacon Walter Kaszynski. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday January 26, 10:30 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with the Rev. Paul Schumacher officiating. Burial will be at the Oconto Catholic Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion Post. On line condolences may be expressed at www.gallagherfuneralhome.net
