Myrtle Blucher passed away October 1, 2010 in Fairfield, OH. She was born in Oconto May 20, 1916 to Andrew and Lizzie Forsberg. She married Austin Bjornaa in Nov. 1937 and he preceded her in death in 1958. She married Orval Blucher Nov. 9th, 1963 and he preceded her in death Feb. 23, 1999. Myrtle was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Oconto until she moved to Fairfield in 2000. She was a member of Guild, the quilting group, Fall Harvest Supper and craft sale worker, and also enjoyed Rosemaling, knitting and crocheting. She had a strong faith and was a good friend to many people. She will be missed. Myrtle is survived by her two daughters, Karen (Al) Ehritz, Fairfield, OH, and Mary (Bob) Bond of Salt Lake City, UT, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, one sister, Clara Olson of Oconto and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 4 sisters. The family will receive relatives and friends at the First Presbyterian Church, Oconto, from 9:30 to 11 AM Thursday, October 7, 2010. Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Thursday at the church with the Rev. Craig Alwin officiating. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery. The Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, is assisting the family. On line condolences may be expressed at www.gallagherfuneralhome.net.
