Marvin Alois Zoeller, 86, Oconto, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017 at Aurora Bay Care Medical Center, Green Bay. Marvin was born January 13, 1931 in Brookside to the late Oliver and Frances Zoeller. He married Shirley Weigelt on October 27, 1956. Marvin entered the US Army October 22, 1951 and served his country in Panama during the Korean War. He then was in the Reserves until 1959. Marvin worked at Scott Paper Co., Oconto Falls, for 38 years, until retiring in 1992. Marvin is a member of United Methodist Church, Oconto.
Marvin is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley and their three sons, Daniel (Rosanne); Gregory (Julie Adams); Gerald (Sandy); grandchildren, Joshua (Martina), Amber (fiancé Eric), Justin, Katie (fiancé Justin), Shana, Sarah (Waleed), Abby, Kevin, Chelsey (fiancé Justin); great grandchildren, Rida and Mason. He is further survived by his brother, Vernon (Carol) Zoeller and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by nine siblings and their spouses, Rueben (Sylvia) Zoeller, Helen (Edward) Bloom, Sylvester (Rosemary) Zoeller, Roland (Berdine) Zoeller, Claudine (Casimir) Zima, Bernard (Leona) Zoeller, Arlene (Wilbert) Longsine, Cecelia (Gerald) Townsend, Jacqueline (Terry) Corbit. He was also preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Herbert and Gladys Weigelt, two sisters-in-law and their spouses, Janice (Edward) Yurek, Patricia (Robert) Wellens.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the United Methodist Church, Oconto, from 9 to 11 AM Wednesday, August 9, 2017. Funeral service will be conducted 11 AM Wednesday at the church with the Rev. David Henke. Military Rites will be conducted by all Oconto Veteran organizations at the church. Marvin’s family would like to thank the Oconto Rescue Squad and the staff of 3rd floor ICU at Aurora for all their compassionate care given to Marvin.
