Obituary for Marion L. Zorn

Marion L. Zorn, 83, of Marinette, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay. Marion was born October 21, 1926 in Stiles to the late Alfred and Katherine (Olson) Olson. She married Marvin Zorn on July 1, 1950. He preceded her in death on December 28, 1997. Marion married Fred Kirsch in 2000. He preceded her in death in 2008. Marion devoted her entire life to educate and influence children. Marion taught for over twenty seven years, spending most of her time at the Abrams Elementary School. Marion was a member of the Oconto Gospel Chapel.

Marion is survived by four daughters Judy (Jim) Dryja, FL; Carol (Jim) Krueger, FL; Ruth Brooks, NM; Karen (Greg Smucker) Zorn, MA; a son Ronald Zorn, Peshtigo; a sister Alice Alfredson, Stiles; a sister-in-law Peggy Olson, IN; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Marion is preceded in death by one brother Norman Olson.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 5 to 8 PM Sunday, May 23, 2010. Visitation will continue on Monday, May 24 from 10 to 11 AM at the Oconto Gospel Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Monday at the church by Duane Erieau. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at
