Obituary for Margaret V. Heise

Margaret V. Heise, 89, of Oconto, entered into eternal life Friday, February 5, 2010 surrounded by her family at Aurora Bay Care Medical Center, Green Bay, after suffering a stroke on February 1. Margaret was born August 20, 1920 in Algoma to the late William and Alma (Gaulke) Kipp. Margaret was a graduate of Oconto High School after which she worked at the First National Bank and also the Oconto County Court House. Margaret married Walter C. Heise on November 19, 1949 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Green Bay. After her marriage Margaret devoted her life to her family, her church, and the family business, Col. Walter C. Heise Auctions & Real Estate. Margaret and Walter resided in Oconto all of their married life. Walter preceded her in death on March 30, 1987.

Margaret is survived by, what she regarded as her greatest accomplishment, her three daughters Marcia (David Johnson) Heise, Green Bay; Marilyn Heise, Cleveland, OH; Marlene Heise, Bakersfield, CA; two grandsons Nicholas Delano and Andrew Fleck. She is preceded in death by a sister Lucille (Asa) Foster.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, 217 Congress St., Oconto, from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday, February 9, 2010, and again on Wednesday, February 10, from 10 to 11 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church, 1700 Superior Ave., Oconto. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Bruce Blocker officiating. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery. The family expresses its heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Aurora Bay Care Hospital in Green Bay, along with its Hospice service, for the care and compassion extended to Margaret and her family. Thanks also to Pastors Bruce Blocker and Dave Hatch for their presence and support at the hospital during Margarets final days.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Zion Lutheran Church.
