Obituary for Margaret L. Moody

Margaret (Margie) Lucille Moody, 85, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2018, at Woodland Villages in Oconto. She was born December 13, 1932 in Wauwatosa, WI to the late Stanley and Mary (Wall) Sutrick. They then moved to Brookside and she attended Oconto High School. She married the love of her life, William Moody, on August 5, 1950, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Abrams. Together they raised three sons and had a milk route business for which she was the bookkeeper. She also worked for Tom and Rachel Moody at their grocery store in Brookside and also worked there again years later when her son Gary bought the same store. She was a great cook, enjoyed canning, playing cards, putting puzzles together and crocheting. She was a member of St. Patrick Parish in Stiles and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bill, three sons, Ronald (Sandra) Moody, Gary (Joanne) Moody, Terry (Debby) Moody, nine grandchildren, Elexis (Mark) Myslik, Pete (Kari) Moody, Tom (Melissa) Moody, Gabe (Carrie Lade) Moody, Patrick (Jennifer) Moody, David (Anne) Moody, Gina (Steve) Linssen, Bryanna Moody and Garrett (Jessica Knuth) Moody as well as 11 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by three sisters, Terry Cybry, Gerry Langer, and Carol Hallada, sister-in-law Anna Sutrick, brother-in-law Frank Strigenz, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her step-mother Julia Sutrick, great-granddaughter Ava Moody, her sister Irene Forncrook, infant sister Delores, and brother Eugene Sutrick as well as brothers-in-law Sonny Forncrook, Frank Cybry, Clarence Langer and David Hallada, sister-in-law Germaine Strigenz, and her mother and father-in-law, Joseph (Dode) and Doris Moody.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 10 AM to 12 Noon Tuesday, December 4, 2018. Memorial services will be conducted Tuesday 12 PM at the funeral home with the Rev. Bob Karuhn officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.gallagherfuneralhome.net.
The family would like to thank everyone at Woodland Villages in Oconto for their loving and tender care, with special thanks to Stephanie, as well as Julie and her team from Unity Hospice. Your kindnesses touched our hearts.
