Obituary for Margaret E. (Slaney) Jaekels

Margaret E. (Slaney) Jaekels, 81, died January 2, 2009. Born April 11, 1927 in Hilbert, she graduated from the D.T. Watson School of Physical Therapy. Margaret married Paul Jaekels in 1955, and is survived by children Cathy (Joe) Bianco, Tim. (Teri) Jaekels, Tom Jaekels (Mark Hawkins) and Mary Jaekels (Ken Arzt); seven grandchildren: Andrew and Tim. Bianco, Barbara, Thomas and Sarah Jaekels and Luis and Sophie Peres and many nieces and nephews, sister-in-law Faye Slaney, her brother-in-law Mike (Nancy) Jaekels, and sister-in-law Rosie (Herb) Blakeney. Her parents Dr. Andrew F. Slaney and Anna Slaney, husband, sister Mary Ann Slaney and brother John Slaney preceded her in death. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, and a Eucharistic Minister.
Margaret (Peggy, "Mugs") loved her home town and her many friends there. She will be dearly missed. Please join the family celebrating her life. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Friday, January 9, 2009 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Oconto. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated 8 PM Friday, December 9, at the church with the Rev. Patrick Beno officiating. Burial will be at the Oconto Catholic Cemetery. The Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, is assisting the family.
