Obituary for Marcella Cook
Marcella Mae Cook, 79, of Eden Prairie, MN, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2007. Marcella was born November 16, 1928 in Oconto to the late Frank and Lydia (Mienke) Belleau. She was married to Harlyn Cook and he preceded her in death in 1979. Marcella was the Oconto City Clerk for 28 years. She also was the Executive Director of the Okato Manor from 1969 to 1992. Marcella was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading, sewing and needlepoint. Marcella is survived by a daughter Suzanne Cook, Eden Prairie, MN; a son Danniel (Linda) Cook, Chandler, AZ; and a granddaughter Kathryn Cook, a step-daughter Darlene Kuschel, Mountain; three step-grandchildren Gary Kuschel Jr., Kevin Kuschel, Kelly Kuschel, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by four brothers Francis, Willard, Marvin, and Harold Belleau, and three sisters Helen Thompson, Esther Lang, and Dorothy Mathews. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 4 to 8 PM Friday, November 23, 2007 with prayer services at 7 PM by Deacon Walter Kaszynski. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated 2PM Saturday, November 24 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Oconto, with the Rev. Patrick C. Beno officiating. Burial will be at the Oconto Catholic Cemetery. On line condolences may be expressed at In lieu of flowers, please send remembrance gift to Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Oconto, WI.
