Obituary for Lola L. Coel

Mrs. Lola (Arthur Jr.) Coel was called by her precious Lord and Savior to join her loved ones on January 10, 2010. Lola was born April 16, 1939 in Oconto to Ted and Mary (Stone) Rockwell. She graduated from Oconto High School, class of 1958. Lola graduated from Green Bay NWTC with an Associate Degree in Administration. She was united in marriage to Herbert (Tiny) Brault, he preceded her in death on May 1, 1971. Lola united in marriage to Arthur Fabin Coel Jr. for 21 years, he preceded her in death on August 5, 1999. Lola worked as a Nursing Home Administrator for Newburys Nursing Home/Red Arrow facility. Lola was also co-owner of Coel Fisheries along with her husband and his triplet brothers & spouses. She served on the City of Oconto Ward 2 Election Board for 20 years. Lola was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, St. Anns Society and AARP.
She is survived by her loving siblings Eva & Emil (Babe) Groth of Oconto Falls, Lee & Jean Rockwell and Ted & Kathy Rockwell all of Oconto. Three children; Lynn M. Calzada and Christine & Freddie Consola of Milwaukee, and Andrew & Su Brault of Green Bay; 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 6 God children. In-laws, Arnold & Rosann Coel, Alfred & Betty Coel, Mary Thompson, and Maynard Geier. Very special friends, Bob & Nancy Pecor, Barb Moeller, Audrey & Oren Woodworth, Dee Beekman, Frieda & Hank Wenzel, Michelle Fieck, Amy Mehlberg, Oconto Postal Carriers, very special nurses Tara Ketchem, Michelle Harry, Claire Augustian, all from Visiting Nurses Association, and ResCare Home Health Care Agency.
Lola is preceded in death by her parents, husbands Tiny and Art, nephew James William Rockwell, brother-in-law Ben Thompson, sister-in-law Betty Geier, Barbara & Jeanette Coel. Shell be sadly missed by her cockatiel, Chico.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 4 to 9 PM Thursday, January 14, 2010 with St Anns Rosary at 4 PM and prayer services by Deacon Walt Kaszynski at 7:30 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, January 15 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Oconto, with the Rev. Patrick Beno officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at
