Obituary for Lawrence Peter Ozechowski
Lawrence P. Ozechowski, 74, of Oconto, passed away peacefully at home, with his wife at his side, Wednesday, November 26, 2014. Lawrence was born January 9, 1940 in Chicago to the late Albert and Victoria (Kozlowski) Ozechowski. Lawrence married the love of his life Diana (Coshenet) Ozechowski at St. Peter’s Catholic church on January 31, 1959. Lawrence worked at Cruisers in Oconto, also in Two Rivers at Miro Aluminum and Hamilton Manufacturing Company, J.C. Campbell Company in Suamico and also Mercer, WI at J.C. Campbell. Then he went back to Green Bay to P&G, where he retired after 26 years in 1995. Lawrence had a dream to have 100 acres up north with roads all through the woods, with a cabin. Well he made that dream come true, he had 97 acres in Pembine, with roads you could drive a truck all over in the woods. He loved his bow hunting, rifle hunting, fishing, darts, pool, and the outdoors.
Lawrence is survived by his wife, Diana Ozechowski of 56 years, Oconto; two sons, Jeffery Ozechowski, Sturgeon Bay; Joseph (Lori) Ozechowski, Oconto, three brothers, Raymond Ozechowski, Oak Creek; Steve (Sue) Ozechowski, Oconto; Allen Ozechowski, Oconto; and a sister, Lottie Walls, Green Bay; six grandchildren, Misty (Dan) Rakow, Oconto; Travis Madson, Oconto; Kristi (Joseph) Seymour, Coleman, Brandon (Missy) Madson, Oconto; Kyel (Tabitha) Ozechowski, WA, Samantha Ozechowski, WA; ten great-grandchildren, Macy and Markee Rakow, Colton and Cheyenne Madson, Blake and Sonny Seymour, Preston and Braydon Madson, Mia and Stella Ozechowski. He was preceded in death by a son, James Mark Ozechowski; two brothers, Albert Ozechowski Jr., Robert Ozechowski; and two sisters, Rosie Funk and Georgia Christiansen.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 9 to 11 AM Friday, December 5, 2014. Memorial services will be conducted 11 AM Friday at the funeral home with Deacon Walter Kaszynski officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.gallagherfuneralhome.net.
