Obituary for Lawrence Frank Pagel

Lawrence Frank Pagel, 100, of Abrams, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2010 at San Luis Manor, Green Bay. Lawrence was born October 21, 1910 to the late Frank and Martha (Schultz) Pagel. He married Ethel Thome on August 27, 1938. Lawrence was a long time dairy farmer in Brookside. Lawrence was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Oconto, where he served as trustee and usher. Lawrence was sexton of the Brookside Cemetery for ten years. He worked for the Pulaski Canning Co., the Town of Pensaukee for thirteen years and also the ASCS Committee.

Lawrence is survived by his wife of 72 years Ethel Pagel; a son, Wayne (Cauleen) Pagel, Green Bay; three grandsons, Thome Pagel, Green Bay; Larry (Jacquie) Pagel, Tempe, AZ; Daniel Pagel, Green Bay; and three great granddaughters. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert (Irene) Pagel and a sister, Leona Laabs.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 9 to 11 AM Wednesday, December 1, 2010. Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bruce Blocker officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery.
