Obituary for John B. Stock

John B. Stock, 105, Oconto, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on December 21, 2014. John was born December 1, 1909 to the late Balzy and Victoria Stock. John was mainly employed for himself throughout his life in logging, scrapping/junking and founded stock construction. John loved his sports and was a wonderful story teller of his life experiences. John “PaPa” always said the secret to his longevity is a can of beer, a shot of brandy and “dessert” a pinch of Copenhagen. John recently celebrated his 105th birthday and was honored by Vicki Bostedt, Mayor of Oconto, who declared December 1, 2014 “John Stock, Sr. Day” and thanks to Bonnie Forgette who provided family and friends with birthday cake, and thank you to all the family and friends who helped celebrate Johns birthday.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie (Beekman) Stock; daughter, Shirley (Ray) Bishop; son, Jack Stock; brothers, Andy and Ken; sisters, Mary and Bernice. John is survived by grandchildren, Cindy (Paul) Wilson, Kevin Stock, Steven (special friend Brenda) Stock, Todd (Ruth) Bishop, Renee (Cory) Lemirande, Mark (Holly) Novitski; great grandchildren, Angela (Greg) Mortier, Robby Bishop, Becky (Sam) Moore, Jerid Stock, KayLeigh Wilson, Craig Stock, Steven Stock; great great grandchildren, Madison Mortier, Lillie Mortier, Garrett Moore, Wyett Moore.
