John A. VanHulle, 77, Oconto, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at Woodlands Nursing Home, Oconto. John was born November 4, 1930 in Oconto to the late Frank and Ella (Morrow) VanHulle. John worked at Cruise Tops as a Foreman for over 30 years. John loved his tractors and farming with Roger. John was an avid sportsman and outdoors man and enjoyed going to his cabin. John liked golfing and coached Little League for many years. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Oconto Gun Club. John loved his family very much.
John is survived by a daughter Terri Jean (Paul) Olsen, Oconto; four sons James (Jean) VanHulle, Oconto; Edward (Patricia) VanHulle, Oconto; Daniel (Dawn) VanHulle, Oconto; Charles VanHulle, Oconto; five brothers Dave (Anna) VanHulle, Washington; Jerald (Barbara) VanHulle, Oconto; Howard (Donna) VanHulle, Oconto; Mitchell VanHulle, Oconto; Frank (Janice) VanHulle Olympia, Washington; three sisters Evelyn (Jerome) Pansier, Oconto; Karen (Cletus) Olson, Peshtigo; Marietta (Jim) Allen, Brookside; sister-in-law Pat VanHulle, Oconto; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and special friends Roger and Janie Thome and family. He is preceded in death by two brothers Jim VanHulle, George VanHulle, and a special friend Helen Eckes.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Oconto, form 9 AM to 12 Noon Thursday, June 5, 2008. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated 12 Noon Thursday at the church with the Rev. Patrick Beno officiating. Burial will be at the Oconto Catholic Cemetery. The Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, is assisting the family. On line condolences may be expressed at www.gallagherfuneralhome.net
