Obituary for Janice Mae Whiting
Janice Wittkopf Pillsbury Whiting, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2011, at Sharpe Care Nursing Home, Oconto Falls. Janice was born April 26, 1926 in Oconto to the late Charles and Anna (Viestenz) Wittkopf. She attended and graduated from Oconto High School in 1945. She married William Elmer Pillsbury and together they had five children. She later married Edgar Whiting in 1963 who preceded her in death. Janice is survived by Retired Major Richard (Sue) Pillsbury, Oconto; Victoria Campbell, Oconto; Retired SFC Melvin Pillsbury, PA; Ginger (John) Younk, Amberg; Virginia (Douglas) Dionne, Crivitz; step-son Roger (Karen) Pillsbury, Oconto; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 9 to 11 AM, Wednesday, September 14, 2011. Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with Deacon Walter Kaszynski officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery. The family would like to extend warm and loving appreciation to the nurses and staff at Sharpe Care in Oconto Falls for the wonderful care of our mother and grandmother. Heartfelt thanks to Stacey and Troy Gabriel and Victoria Campbell for all their love and care.
