Ione C. (White) Duaime, born October 3, 1934, in the town of Laona, WI, passed away on the evening of Tuesday, March 15, 2011, with her family by her side. She will be sadly missed and greatly mourned. Ione a loving wife and mother was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan who lived life with spunk and independent spirit. In life she had many roles - military wife, business partner, Cub Scout Leader, a championship league bowler, world traveler, Lioness and Jaycette. During the traditional Uno game, a rowdy end to family gatherings her competitive side always shone through. She applied her fun loving and adventurous nature to life, sharing its joy with everyone she touched.
She is survived by her loving husband Bertrand Bill Duaime of 54 years, daughters Leslie Duaime and John Becher, Teresa "Teri" Duaime, son Andrew and daughter-in-law Kathy Duaime. Grandsons Steven Duaime and Andrew Duaime II and Heather Elliott and great granddaughter Sophie Duaime, granddaughter Stephanie Duaime and Josh Scott. Sister Ruth and Arthur Hienz, brother Herbert Lee White and by her many nieces, nephews and her dear friends. She was preceded in death by son Thomas Duaime, mother Evelyn (Collins) White, father Herbert White. Sisters Doris Brunette, Alice Verhagen, Dorthy (Chicky) LaFave, and brother Monte White.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the First Presbyterian Church, 200 S. Ashland Ave, Green Bay, from 10 to 11 AM Monday, March 28, 2011. Memorial services will be conducted 11 AM Monday at the church with the Rev. Randy Argall officiating. The Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, is assisting the family.
