Harvey “Bud” Ellman went to be with his heavenly family on Wednesday, January 29, 2014. He died peacefully in his sleep at home surrounded by his earthly family. “Bud” was born October 14, 1929 in Oconto to the late Otto and Frieda (Ziemer) Ellman. He married Charlotte Haag on May 26, 1956. She preceded him in death on June 14, 2002. “Bud” drove truck for Stock Lumber for over 40 years, and farmed all his life. He enjoyed playing cards and bingo, feeding wild birds and animals, watching Wheel of Fortune and eating at Subway. Most of all he loved spending time with family, including his weekly visits from his brother-in-law, John W. Haag,
“Bud” is survived by four daughters, Rhonda (Paul) Kositzky, Lake Geneva; Pamela Ellman, CA; Brenda (Gary) Groll, OK; Holly (Wayne) Beilfuss, DePere; two sons, Bruce Ellman, OK; Todd (Judy) Ellman, Oconto; five sisters, Marian Nerenhausen, Verna Olson, Betty (Clarence) Spice, Dorothy Schlosser, Carol Schlorhaufer; two sisters-in-law Eleanor Ellman, Louise Ellman; 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Ellman, two brothers, Willard “Sonny” Ellman, Milton Ellman; three sisters, Laura Whiting, Erma Hicks, Margaret Borkovec and four brothers-in-law, Chester Nerenhausen, Robert Olson, George Schlosser and John Schlorhaufer.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto from 3 to 7 PM Sunday, February 2, 2014. Visitation will continue on Monday, February 3, from 10 to 11 AM at Zion Lutheran Church, Oconto. Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Monday at the church with the Rev.
