Obituary for Glenore Wilde

Glenore Wilde, 70, 147 Lindsey, Oconto, passed away April 3, 2006 at her home. Glenore was born January 25, 1936 to the late Alfred and Henrietta (Hansen) Stewart, in Oconto. She attended St. Joseph Catholic School, and graduated from Oconto High School in 1955. Glenore married James Wilde January 26, 1957 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oconto. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, Oconto. Glenore worked for Wisconsin Bell from 1955 to 1961, at Cruisers Inc. from 1961-65. She moved to Kenosha in 1965 where she worked as a bookkeeper for Topel Rambler until 1975. Glenore moved back to Oconto in 1975 and worked for Cruisers in accounting from 1976 to 1993. In 1979 Glenore and Jim bought Oconto Florist with Jon and Carol Stewart and operated it until 1996. She was house keeper for father Terry LaCombe from 1995 to 2000. From 2003 until present she worked for Oconto Unified School District at the Elementary School. Glenore served on the finance committee at Holy Trinity Parish, was an avid bowler for 50 years and held office as president and secretary of the bowling league multiple times. She participated in 45 State Bowling Tournaments and also bowled in a National Tournament in LasVegas. She was also a very good golfer for many years and served on the board and worked with the Jr. golf league. Survivors include her husband James Wilde; a sister June Carriveau, Oconto; four brothers Roger (Carol) Stewart, Oconto; Bill (Bonnie) Stewart, Green Bay; Bud (Pat) Stewart, Green Bay; Jon (Carol) Stewart, Oconto; nieces and nephews Julie (Clark) Routheau, Jim (Annette) Carriveau, Scott (Karen) Stewart, Todd Stewart, Shelli Peetz, Trisha (Dustin) Loberger, Bill Stewart Jr., Shawn Stewart, Tina LaCourte, Tracy Stewart, Tonya (Dean) Peotter, Jesse Stewart, Emily (Josh) Bostedt, many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother Doug Stewart, a sister Joan Stewart, and a brother in-law Jim Carriveau. There will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 A. M. Thursday, April 6, 206, at Holy Trinity Parish with Rev. C. Terry LaCombe officiating. Burial will be at Oconto Catholic Cemetery.
