Obituary for Gertrude M. Pagel

Gertrude M. Pagel, 89, formerly of Little Suamico, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017, at Angels on Humboldt Assisted Living in Green Bay. She was born May 2, 1927 in Wayside to the late Arthur and Margaret (Plautz) Schultz. She attended Wayside Lutheran School. Gertrude married Eddie Pagel on June 9, 1945 at Zion Lutheran Church, Wayside. He preceded her in death on September 1, 1991. Gertrude and Eddie farmed in Little Suamico until 1986. Gertrude was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Abrams. During various years as a member, she taught Sunday School, was an organist, sang in the choir, also was a member of the Ladies Aid and Alter Guild.

Gertrude is survived by a daughter, Deb (Emil) Kuhn, Luxemburg; a son, Kert (Linda) Pagel, Little Suamico; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two sisters, Esther Nohr, Green Bay; Lauraine Bruss, West Bend; sister-in-law, Marlene Schultz, Wayside; brother-in-law, Marvin (Kathy) Behnke, Brillion; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold (Bernice) Schultz; Arthur Schultz Jr.; Gilbert (Eldora) Schultz; four sisters, Dorothy (Rupert) Kamke; Eleanor (Ray) Fieck; Cecelia Behnke; Florence (Harold) Allen; and two brothers-in-law, Norman Nohr and Gil Bruss.

The family is having private funeral services by Rev. Andrew DeGier. Burial will be at Brookside Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at
