Obituary for Genevieve Gema Bostedt

Genevieve ?Gema? Bostedt, 84 of Lena, died Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Sharpe Care Ltd. Oconto Falls. Gema was born march 14, 1923 in Abrams to the late Frank and Ida (Lear) Ellner. She married Clyde Bostedt on June 1, 1946. He preceded her in death on July 30, 1995. Gema ran Bostedt?s Grocery in the town of Abrams for 32 years. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Abrams. Gema?s hobbies include many trips to Canada fishing, picking blue berries, and making quilts. Gema is survived by a daughter Cheryl (Jim) Heimke, Lena; a son Rev. David (Jo) Bostedt, Harbor City, CA; a daughter-in-law Meg Galloway, Madison; a twin sister Geneva (Wilbur) Falk, Abrams; four grandchildren Kevin Heimke, Randy Heimke, Schuyler Bostedt, and Colin Bostedt. She is preceded in death by a son Glen Bostedt, three brothers Fred, Frank, and Donald Ellner and six sisters Mary Stone, Myrtle Jahnke, Pearl Salnick, Dorothy Kryzaniak, Grace Kipper and Hannah Waldow. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Family will receive relatives and friends at Calvary Lutheran Church, Abrams, from 2 to 7 PM Sunday, February 24, 2008. Funeral services will be conducted 7 PM at the church with the Rev. Alan Klessig officiating. The Gallagher Funeral Home & Cremation Service is assisting the family.
