Obituary for Elsie M. DeWindt
Elsie M. DeWindt, 84, of Oconto, passed away Friday, February 25, 2011 at her home. Elsie was born August 26, 1926 in California. She married Ed DeWindt on January 2, 1982. Elsie worked as a Switchboard Operator at Kraft Foods for 29 years. She enjoyed fishing and traveling with Ed.
Elsie is survived by her husband Ed DeWindt, Oconto; a son Fritz (Becky) Bailey, CA; two step-daughters Darlene (James) Cherry, Las Vegas, CA; Debbie (Johnny) Hughes, Phoenix, AZ; two sisters Izzy Quillo, Chino, CA; Lucille (Ron) Little, Carlsbad, CA; five grandchildren Steve and Jeff Bailey, Christel, Desiree and Aspen Kruse; and one great grandchild Michael Bailey. She was preceded in death by four brothers Joe, Manual, Bill and Tony Gouvia, and a sister Emily Vega.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 5 to 7 PM Thursday, March 3, 2011. Memorial services will be conducted 7 PM Thursday at the funeral home with service leader Tom DeWindt. On line condolences may be expressed at www.gallagherfuneralhome.net.
