Obituary for Eleanor Mocco
Eleanor E. Mocco, 83, of 307 McDonald St., passed away quietly after a 2 year illness at Woodlands Nursing Center of Oconto. Eleanor was born July 29, 1921 in Chicago, IL to the late John and Elizabeth (Sklenar) Hugo. She married Norbert Mocco on June 15, 1940. He preceded her in death in 1963. Eleanor was employed at the Elliott Glove factory for many years. She owned and operated the Fawn Bar at Little Suamico for many years. She also operated Kickapoo service stations in Howard and Sturgeon Bay. We will always remember the homemade bread and cinnamon rolls we had on our dinner table for the eleven of us while growing up. Eleanor is survived by four daughters Lillian Walls, Oconto; Darlene (friend Doug) Mocco, Eagle River; Janice (Marvin) Reindl, Crivitz; Sharon (Rick) Klussendorf, Wausaukee; four sons Thomas (Tammy) Mocco, FL; Kenneth Mocco, Coleman; Steve (Mary) Mocco, Algoma; Patrick (Tammy) Mocco, Coleman; one brother Nick (Mary) Hugo, Pensaukee; two sisters Anne Masterson, Wild Wood, IL; Josie Moser, Midway, AZ; 24 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by one son James Mocco in 1998 four brothers Martin, Johnny, Joe, and Richard Hugo, and two sisters Florence Cochenet and Mary LeBrun. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Holy Trinity Parish, Oconto, from 9 to 11 AM Saturday April 2, 2005. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday at the church with the Rev. David C. Ruby officiating. The Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, is assisting the family.
