Eleanor A. Mraz, 94, of Oconto, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Woodlands Villages, Oconto. Eleanor was born May 22, 1920 in Oconto to the late John and Louise (Cota) DeHut. She married Willard Ellman on December 2, 1944. He preceded her in death on March 1, 1947. Eleanor married Alfred “Joe” Mraz on March 22, 1950. He preceded her in death on February 2, 2013. Eleanor enjoyed cooking, gardening, especially anything to do with flowers. Eleanor and Joe enjoyed taking bike rides and walks together. She was extremely dedicated to, and loved, her family very much. Eleanor was a member of First American Lutheran Church, Oconto, and was involved in the Womens Club and bible study group.
Eleanor is survived by a daughter, Linda (Robert) Hearley, Abrams; two sons, Doug (Jeanne) Mraz, Green Bay; Robert Mraz, Oconto; six grandchildren, Michelle Mraz, Sara (Dan) Hacker, Scott (Kate) Hearley, Heidi (Steve Krautkramer) Hearley, Brian (Heather) Hearley, Jason (Jenny Fitzgerald) Hearley; six great-grandchildren, Ali, Belle, Irie, Gavin, Tristan Hearley and Levi Hacker. Eleanor is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Sharon Mraz, six sisters, Irene Ragen, Ruby Lasley, Muriel Olson, Louise Scharmann, Mabel Helmer, Mary Sief, six brothers, George, Harry, Roy, Ray, Donald and Lyle DeHut.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the First American Lutheran Church, Oconto, form 9 to 11 AM Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Mary Zupansic officiating. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery.
