Obituary for Dorothy McTavish

Dorothy "Pat" McTavish, 80, of Oconto passed away May 1, 2008 at Bond Health Center, Oconto. She was born January 31, 1928 in Oconto to the late Francis and Florence LaViolette. Pat married Joseph (Sandy) McTavish October 8, 1966. He preceded her in death February 12, 1999. Pat worked at Uttormark Hardware and Cruisers Inc., and as a homemaker after the birth of her children. Pat had served as Cub Scout Den Mother and had spent many hours organizing and working at St. Peters Church Picnic. She also enjoyed making Teddy Bears for New Cap and for the church.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, St. Annes Society and the Oconto Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include her son Michael (Nancy) McTavish, Green Bay and 5 grandchildren Kaitlyn, Jordyn, Alyssa, Mason and Amanda. Also surviving are a brother in-law Norman Noah, sister in-law Alice LaViolette, son in-law Mike Crandall, nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by her husband Joseph (Sandy) McTavish, a daughter Michelle (Mitzie), a brother Jack LaViolette, and a sister Jean Noah.
Friends may call at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto from 4 to 8 P. M. Sunday. St. Annes Society will lead a rosary at 4:30 P. M.. Deacon Walter Kaszynski will lead the Parish Wake Service at 6:00 P. M.. Visitation at the funeral home will continue Monday morning from 9 to 9:45 A. M.. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A. M. Monday at Holy Trinity Parish with Rev. Patrick Beno officiating. After cremation Pat will be buried at Oconto Catholic Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank Woodland Nursing Home and staff, the staff and doctors at Bond Health Center, Rhoda and Tara for all the love and care they showed for Pat. Special thanks also to Norman Noah for his daily visits.
