Obituary for Delores June Riewe
Delores June Riewe, 88, of Oconto, passed away peacefully at her home in the presence of family following a short illness. Delores was born June 15, 1923 to the late Roy and Meta (Ziemer) Crozier in Little River Township. She married Clair Riewe on December 8, 1945 after a three year engagement during Clair’s wartime service. They celebrated sixty years together operating a dairy farm in Little River Township before Clair passed away in 2005. Delores loved Jesus Christ, her church, Clair, her boys, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the farm. Delores was a pillar at the Lena Community Bible Church. Delores is survived by three sons Jim (Ann) of Green Bay, Don (Glenna) of Green Bay, and Rick (Diane) of Little River Township Oconto. One brother and two sisters-in-law Gerald and Ellen Crozier of Brookfield, WI and Lorraine Crozier of Sun Prairie, WI. One brother-in-law William Podgorny of Lombard, IL. Nine grandchildren Jim (Sue), Dennis, Sandy, Jesse (Ben), Emily (Eddie), Nicole (Bob), Quentin, Charles (Keriann), and Kenny. Nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Delores was preceded in death by; her parents, two sisters Margie Flynn and Maysel Crawford, and two brothers Harold and Elroy. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 4 to 8 PM Sunday, May 20, 2012 with a prayer service at 7 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday, May 21, from 9 to 11 AM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Harley officiating.
