David F. Maccaux, 75, Oconto, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Brookdale Assisted Living, Appleton. David was born December 17, 1941 in Green Bay to the late Frank and Evelyn (Pagel) Maccaux. David married Tina Bellow on September 28, 1963. She preceded him in death on October 25, 2015. David served his Country in the U.S. Army and National Guard. He worked at Cruisers Yachts in engineering, Procter & Gamble, with his son, and was sadly missed when he retired. He also worked various other jobs. He enjoyed fishing, camping, reading and gardening. David was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Stiles and was Scout Master for Oconto Troop 1084 for many years.
David is survived by a daughter, Lisa (Charles) DesJarlais, Appleton; a son, Christopher (Shellie) Maccaux, Green Bay; a brother, Leon (Linda) Maccaux, Green Bay; three grandchildren, Nicholas Maccaux, Alexander and Bryce DesJarlais; and many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Gabby and Charlie DesJarlais.
The family will receive relatives and friends at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Stiles, from 9 to 11 AM Friday, September 29, 2017. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday at the church with the Rev. Bob Karuhn officiating. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery with Military Rites by all Oconto military service groups. Online condolences may be expressed at www.gallagherfuneralhome.net.
