Connie Heise, 48, Lena, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Bellin Hospital after a 6 week battle with stomach cancer. She was born May 26, 1962 in Fort Lewis, Washington to Mack and Marilyn (Martin) Baldwin. She attended Lena Schools and graduated with the Class of 1980. She married Randy Heise, July 26, 1980 and they just celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. She was employed in the transportation department at Georgia Pacific as a team leader and loved her job and coworkers. She was known as a devoted mom and wife and was very dedicated to her kids and following them through their sports and activities. She loved to deer hunt and fish, ride her Harley, snowmobile, golf, gardening and annual family vacations. She was known for her ability to organize and cook for large get togethers for her family and friends.
Connie is survived by her husband Randy, children Stacey and Chad at home. Her parents, Mack and Marilyn Baldwin, Shawano; mother-in-law Melva Heise, Oconto; two sisters, Tamara Brown, Green Bay; Jackie (Rick) Stachowicz, Appleton; a brother Mike (Brenda) Baldwin, Oshkosh; Randys family, Val (Ron) Filz, Oconto; Laurie (Dave) Diehlman, Lena; Gary (Kim) Heise, Lena; Jeff (Julie) Heise, Watertown; Julie Heise, Sturgeon Bay. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family, many great friends and co workers whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mike and Helen Baldwin, Dallas; and Gertrude Martin, father-in-law, Lloyd Heise, brother-in-law, Steve Heise and nephew Jason Diehlman.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 4 to 9 PM Friday, September 24, 2010 with prayer services by Pastor Mary Zupansic at 7 PM. Visitation will continue on Saturday, September 25, from 10 to 11 AM at the First American Lutheran Church, Oconto. Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Saturday at the church with the Rev. Mary Zupansic officiating. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery. On line condolences may be expressed at www.gallagherfuneralhome.net.
Connie was a wonderful, caring and loving person in all aspects of her life. She has a beautiful soul, touched many lives and will be deeply missed. We love you dearly, Connie!
The family would like to thank our family and friends for the overwhelming support during this sudden and difficult time. We extend a special thank you to Dr. Thomas Geocaris, Dr. Kelly Lynch, Dr. Amy James and Helen Wellens, NP, the Bellin Hospital staff, Unity Hospice, especially the nursing staff of 4 medical for their compassionate care of Connie and her family.
In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established.
