Clara B. Olson, 88, Oconto, passed away August 15, 2012, surrounded by family at her son Rick’s home. Clara was born June 26, 1924 in the Town of Little River to the late Andrew and Lizzie (Johnson) Forsberg. Clara married Melvin Olson in Oconto on February 18, 1950. He preceded her in death on October 13, 1978. Clara was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and then First American Lutheran Church, Oconto and a member of the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed spending time with her family, tending to her flowers, sewing, knitting and reading. Clara is survived by her daughters, Carol (Jim) Hartman, Porterfield; Linda Pillsbury, Green Bay; Chris (Ken) Utech, Green Bay; and a son Rick (Cindy) Olson, Oconto; her grandchildren, Jim (Jen) Hartman, Jeff Hartman, Kate (Travis) Reidell, Eric (Melissa) Pillsbury, Tracy Pillsbury, Melissa (Ryan) Borowicz, Stephen (Houa) Utech, Ryan (Cami) Olson, Derek Olson, Curtis Harvey, Brett Harvey, and 13 great-grandchildren. Brother-in-law, David (Mae) Olson, West Bend; sisters-in-law Annette Birkeness, MO; and Mary Forsberg, Oconto; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Clara was preceded in death by 5 sisters Mary, Agnes, Myrtle, Jean, Viola, four brothers Lawrence, Edwin, Martin, John and one grandson. The family will receive relatives and friends at the First American Lutheran Church, Oconto, form 9 to 11 AM Saturday, August 18 , 2012. Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Saturday at the church with the Rev. Mary Zupansic officiating. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery. The Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, is assisting the family.
