Obituary for Clair Riewe

Clair A. Riewe, 86, 7117 Old Hwy 15, Oconto, passed away December 9, 2005 at Woodlands of Oconto. Clair was born August 5, 1919 to the late Adolph and Ida (Behling) Riewe. He was born on and operated the family farm in the Town of Little River where he spent his entire life. Clair married Delores Crozier December 8, 1945 and they just celebrated their 60th anniversary. Clair was a avid Packer fan and loved fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Lena Community Bible Church. He served our country in the Army during WWII, serving in the pacific. He was a member of 32nd (Red Arrow) division, 127th Infantry and achieved the rank of Staff Sargent. Survivors include his wife Delores; three sons Jim (Ann) Riewe, Green Bay; Don (Glenna) Riewe, Green Bay; Rick (Diane) Riewe, Oconto; 2 brothers in-law Bill Podgorny, Lombard, Il; Gerald Crozier, Brookfield, WI; 4 sisters in-law Florence Crozier, Oconto; Lorraine Crozier, Sun Prairie; Maysel Crawford, Green Bay; Ellen Crozier, Brookfield, WI; 9 grandchildren Jim (Sue), Dennis, Sandy (Mike), Nicole, Jessie (Ben), Quentin, Emily, Charles and Kenny; 5 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Clair was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers Oscar (Sonny) and Karl; 4 sisters Elda McCartney, Ruth Podgorny, Esther Brown Paluch, and Beatrice Burhop. Friends may call at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto from 4:30 to 8:30 P. M. Sunday. Visitation will continue Monday from 9:00 A. M. until 11:00 A. M.. Funeral service will be 11:00 A. M. Monday, December 12, 2005, at the funeral home with Pastor Wes Barteck officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Oconto. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Woodlands of Oconto for the kind and loving care they gave to Clair. On line condolences may expressed at
