Beverly Jean Hegeman, 88, Stiles, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay. Beverly was born February 18, 1933 in Green Bay to the late Henry and Mabel (Richer) Bitters. She married Verlyn Hegeman on June 13, 1953. He preceded her in death on July 12, 1982. Beverly worked for St. Louis and St. Patricks Catholic Church as secretary for many years. She loved spending time up north in Michigan at her cabin where all were welcome and treated like family. She was affectionately called grandma or aunt by almost all that knew her. She simply loved to be around people. She enjoyed fishing and playing cards, and was involved in many card clubs. She had a passion for travel and made it to all fifty states and many countries. Beverly was a member of First American Lutheran Church, Oconto.
Beverly is survived by a daughter, Laurie (Jim) Matel; two sons, Terry (Ann) Hegeman, Tim (Roxanne) Hegeman; daughter-in-law, Susan Hegeman; a sister, Barb (Bill) Eckes; a sister-in-law, Joyce Hegeman; fourteen grandchildren, Luke (Sarah) Hegeman, Laura Ericson, Charlie (Keely) Hegeman, Doug Hegeman, Julie (Jerry) Schippa, Philip (Luke Pinion)Hegeman, Jennifer (Antonio) Mondragon Murcia, Robert (Jennifer) Hegeman, Alicia Hegeman, Nicholas (Tamara) Dolata, Tylor Dolata, Becky Matel, Kari Matel, Olivia Matel; and twenty five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Hegeman; a daughter, Susan Dolata and infant daughter, Mary Hegeman; three brothers, Byron “Chip” Bitters, Roger Bitters, Ken Bitters; and two sisters, Loretta Lipp and Shirley Imig.
The family will receive relatives and friends at First American Lutheran Church, Oconto, from 10 AM to 12 Noon, Wednesday, November 3, 2021. Funeral services will be conducted 12 Noon Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Craig Alwin officiating. Burial will be at Abrams/Stiles Catholic Cemetery.
