Obituary for Bernard Barribeau

Bernard “Red” Barribeau, 99, Oconto, passed away Monday, September, 27, 2021 at Meadowbrook Nursing Home, Oconto Falls. Bernard was born June 6, 1922 in Oconto to the late George and Annie Barribeau. He married Dorothy Theisen on October 7, 1959. She preceded him in death on July 13, 2000. Bernard served his country in the US Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and his dogs. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Oconto.

Bernard is survived by nephew, James Sullivan; niece Kathleen Vandenberg; was “Pa” to Suzie Romanski; may other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five sisters.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Oconto, from 1 PM to 2 PM Friday, October 1, 2021. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2 PM Friday at the church with the Rev. Francis Nusi officiating. Burial will be at Oconto Catholic Cemetery with Military Rites.
