Obituary for Arlington Pagel

Arlington W. Pagel, 97, of Little Suamico, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2008 one day before his 98th birthday, at Bay Shore Pines, Oconto. Arlington was born March 9, 1910 in Lt. Suamico to the late William and Martha (Schulke) Pagel. He married Adella Berth on June 14, 1945. She preceded him in death on July 1, 2003. Arlington owned and operated his own dairy farm. He served as School Board Clerk for the Sobieski Schools for ten years. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Abrams. Arlington is survived by two sons Darrel (Sandra) Pagel, Lt. Suamico; Kenneth (Susan) Pagel, Lt. Suamico; two brothers Grant Pagel, Abrams; Leland Pagel, Pulaski; a brothers-in-law Richard Berth, a sister-in-law Cecelia Berth, eight grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother William Pagel and sisters-in-law Marcella Pagel, Leitha Pagel, and Clarice Pagel. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Calvary Lutheran Church, Abrams, from 11 AM to 1 PM Saturday, March 15, 2008. Funeral services will be conducted 1 PM Saturday at the church with the Rev. Alan Klessig officiating. Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery, Lt. Suamico. The Gallagher Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family. On line condolences may be expressed at www.gallagherfuneralhome.net. The family would like to thank the Bay Shore Pines and Unity Hospice for the wonderful care and concern they gave to Arlie.
