Anton “Tony” Rowinsky, 86, Green Bay, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. Tony was born June 19, 1935 in Sampson, WI to the late Anton and Wilhelmina (Kerker) Rowinsky He married Cecelia Podolski 63 years ago. Tony enjoyed spending time outdoors in the woods, tending to his garden, and feeding the wild life in his backyard. Tony volunteered for the Literacy Council and made some life long friends. He loved spending time with his family, especially the grand and great grandkids. Tony was a member of Nativity of Our Lord, Green Bay.
Tony is survived by his wife, Cecelia Rowinsky; children, Judy Rowinsky, Linda (Mike) Raymaker, Kathy (Bill)Smith, Tim (Laurie) Rowinsky, Amy (Corey) Bucher; grandchildren, Tony (Melissa) Nicholson, Ashley (Shawn) Pamperin-Sexauer, Melissa (Adam) Desterheft, Jake (Lindsey) Hendricks, Amber (Brian) Popp, Nathan and Zachary Rowinsky, Katlyn (fiancé Joshua Anderson) and Evan Bucher; great grandchildren, Hannah, Hank, Isabelle, Abigail, Brody, Blake, Hudson, Wyatt, and Ava. Tony is also survived by other relatives, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Rowinsky, Darlene (Wally) Downey, and Donna (Stan) Dombrowski.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Green Bay, from 1 to 3 PM Thursday, October 21, 2021. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 3 PM Thursday at the church with the Rev. Matt Simonar officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.gallagherfuneralhome.net.
In lieu of flowers memorials my be given to, Parkinson’s Foundation, Alzheimer’ Association, Diabetes Research Institute.
