Obituary for Allen Whiting

Allen F. Whiting, 77, of Oconto, passed away Friday October 7, 2005 at his home. Allen was born May 28, 1928 in Oconto to the late Elmer and Elsie (Zeroth) Whiting. He married Ordella Bostedt on November 13, 1949 in Marinette. Allen owned and operated the River Valley Farm since the age of fifteen when his father died. While running the farm Allen held other various jobs including working for Cruisers, Wisconsin Dried Egg, and Bond Pickle. Allen also loved farming, driving his John Deere tractors, and deer hunting on his land. Allen is survived by his wife Ordella, three daughters Jeanne (Bill) Neta, Oconto; Nancy Guevara, Orange Park, FL; Judy (Chuck) Kehl, Lena; one son Elmer (Linda) Whiting, Oconto; one brother Lionel (Ursula) Whiting, Oconto; one sister Doris Schmitt, Oconto; eleven grandchildren Melissa (Phillip)Nellmer, Andrew (Nikki) Neta, Alex Neta, Christopher Guevara, Carisa Guevara, Ryan Kehl, Rachelle Kehl, Renee Kehl, Jonathan (Lisa) Whiting, Michael (Jen) Whiting, Angela (Jim) Koslowsky, six great grandchildren Scarlet, Violet, Logan, Haylee, Lane and Breanna. He is preceded in death by one son Daniel Whiting (just one year ago), two brothers Harold and William Whiting. Private funeral services will be held at a later date. The Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, is assisting the family. On line condolences may be expressed at .
