Obituary for Allan Palmer

Allan M. Palmer died unexpectedly on May 8, 2005 at his home. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on August 6. Allan was born September 12, 1950 in Oconto to Ellis and Jean (Hopkins) Palmer. He graduated from Oconto High School in 1968. He then joined the US Navy serving four years. He served last on the Aircraft Carrier U.S.S. Saratoga during the Viet Nam War. Allan was confirmed in the First Presbyterian Church of Oconto and was a member of Masonic Pine Lodge #188 of Oconto where he served as Worshipful Master in 1994. Allan was a fan of the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers and NASCAR Racing. His experiences snowmobiling, hunting and fishing are notorious among family and friends. He is survived by a sister Susan (Harold) Sorenson, Suamico; a brother Ronald (Darlene), LaVerne, CA; nephew Ronald Jr. (Krissen), LaVerne, CA; and their children Alyssa and Veronica, niece Sara (Andrew) Loeffler and their children , Nicholas, Jackson and Amelia of Claremont, CA, many relatives and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. The family will receive relatives and friends at the First Presbyterian Church, Oconto, from 9:30 AM to 12 noon Saturday, August 6, 2005. Memorial services will be conducted 12 noon Saturday, August 6 at the church with the Rev. Thomas D. Beck officiating. Masonic services, by Pine Lodge #188, will be held 11 AM at the church.
