Obituary for Adeline Janda

Adeline ?Addie? Janda, 83, Oconto, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on January 22, 2008 at St. Mary?s Hospital, Green Bay. Addie was born November 20, 1924 in Oak Park, Il to the late Edward and Anna (Benes) Vlnar. She married James Janda on May 3, 1947 at Berwyn, Il, and enjoyed nearly 61 years together. Addie loved spending time with her family and will be greatly missed. Addie was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, past President of the Altar Rosary Society, Oconto Hospital Auxiliary, and past President of the American Legion Auxiliary Adeline is survived by her husband James Janda, Oconto; three daughters Barbara (Fred) Kalkofen, Stevens Point; Roselle Denny, Green Bay; Carol (Dave) Luebeck, Oconto; eight grandchildren Christine (Steve) Mancl, John Kalkofen, Jennifer (Dave) Olson, Eric (Heather) Bania, Christopher Bania, Paul (Rachel) Janda, Laura (Carlos) Inda, Scott Frewerd, and eight great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a son-in-law Al Denny. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 4 to 8 PM Thursday, January 24, 2008 with prayer services by Deacon Walter Kaszynski at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Friday, January 25 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick Beno officiating. Burial will be at the Oconto Catholic Cemetery. On line condolences may be expressed at www.gallagherfuneralhome.net. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
